Acquiring A Full Shoals Club Membership

The Shoals Club offers three distinct dining options, two pools, creative programming for families, and direct beach access.   Being a Shoals Club member delivers a new level of shore side experiences.

Acquiring An Annual Membership/ Extended Family Privileges

One of the many perks of being a Shoals Club Full member is the eligibility to purchase an Annual Membership, giving your extended family full access to the club when you are not present. This type of membership has a small annual fee per extended family unit. Email your completed Extended  Family Annual Membership form along with a photo (no hats or sunglasses please) to  Please give 5 days for processing.

Extended family members shall include the parents, children who are over twenty-three years old, grandparents, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the member and the spouse of such family members.

Acquiring A Shoals Club GUEST Membership


If you are interested in becoming a temporary guest member during your stay on Bald Head, Island, please fill out the 2023 Temporary Membership form here. Email it back to us at This year the Guest Member pricing will remain as a per person rate. Every Guest Member coming through the club gate, 6 years and and above, using Club amenities, will need to be a registered Guest Member. Guest Members will not be able to bring guests.  Please be prepared to present your membership cards when using anyof the club amenities.

Please note that the Shoals Club does not have CAPS on our temporary memberships.

Shoals Club guest members have full access to the Club's amenities. When vacationing on Bald Head Island, the Shoals Club is the complete package for an exceptional island experience. The home you are renting must have a Full Time Shoals Club membership AND be registered in the Annual Rental Program in order for guests to purchase a guest membership.

Guests must register and pay for the membership at least 5 days prior to arrival, in order to avoid the $100 administrative late fee.

No refunds, full or partial, will be issued for temporary memberships.

Guest members will have full access to the Shoals Club EXCLUDING Mondays after 4pm, May 1-September 4, 2023

The club will be closed in its entirety on Saturday, September 2, 2023 for the Annual Member Party. Beach access with chairs and umbrellas will be available from 9am-4pm.

Annual Member Renter Registration 
For members who rent their homes, the Board has approved an Annual Renter Registration Fee.

Members who plan to rent their homes OR have guests in 2023 who wish to make the Shoals Club Temporary Membership available to their renters/guests, will need to be actively enrolled in the program by completing the Annual Registration form on the Member portal.

This Annual Rental registration form must be completed before member’s home renters or guests can register for Temporary Memberships for the 2023 season. After we receive the Annual Registration form, the Club will enroll you in the program, and your renters will then be able to reserve their Temporary Memberships for 2023. 


I am a Shoals Club full member, how do I arrange temporary membership for my guest?

The Shoals Club tries our best to make registering guests simple!

Completed membership forms and payment must be received at least 5 days in advance of your guest's arrival, in order to avoid a $100 administrative late fee.

Shoals Club members must be registered in the Annual Rental Program in order to allow your renters to purchase the 2023 Temporary Membership.  In order to register, please fill out the Annual Rental Registration Agreement, found on the member website.


I am renting from a Shoals Club full member, how do I arrange a temporary membership for my family?


I am not renting a home from a Shoals Club full member; can I still purchase a temporary membership?

A Shoals Club temporary membership is a privilege to guests or renters of a full member. You must be staying in a Shoals Club full member's home who has registered for the Annual Rental program to be eligible to purchase a temporary membership.
