Shoals Club Summer 2017 Season Updates

Shoals Club Summer Season Updates

The 2017 Season at the Shoals Club is off to a running start, with well-attended events during Easter and Memorial Day Weekend and very positive feedback from members. With July Fourth just around the corner, we’re looking forward to a great summer serving full members and temporary members.

We’re delighted to announce that the Shoals Club full member discount at Sandbar Grille, Latitudes and AQUA for food purchases is now 25%! Please remember that the wait staff have been instructed that to enjoy the member discount, the member must be the party paying the bill and must present his or her membership card. If you do not present your card, we will be unable to apply the discount.

Through Labor Day, we’re instituting priority seating at the Sandbar Grille, with a reserved section exclusively for full members on a first-come, first-served basis. To take advantage of this new member benefit, you will need to identify yourself to the hostess by presenting your membership card, similar to the Members’ Deck at the pool. We hope priority seating will improve the experience for our full members who are here in the busy summer months.

Taco Tuesday kicks off this week at the Sandbar Grille, so come enjoy the great fare, entertainment by our DJ, and pool games for the kids. Family Movie Night follows the Taco Tuesday festivities and is free to full members and their immediate family (popcorn and drink included!).

Families also won’t want to miss out on our Sea Hags and Scallywags party on Saturday night, June 24th as a part of Pirate Weekend. Come as you are or come dressed as a pirate. It promises to be a blast! View a complete menu online.

Another popular perk we’re offering full members this season is Member Night at Latitudes. Each Monday evening through Labor Day, full members can enjoy 50% off food purchases from the food menu at Latitudes. Again, the member needs to be the party paying the check and needs to present his or her membership card to the server at the time the order is placed. You'll be pleased to know we also have live entertainment booked most evenings to lend additional atmosphere to the Latitudes dining experience again this year.

Our premier dining venue, AQUA, continues to receive rave reviews. Because of the restaurant’s popularity, please remember to make reservations for dinner by calling 910-454-4888. We hold a reservation slot for full members at each seating to facilitate availability, but are seeing many members arrive at the hostess station without reservations. As we head into the busy season, not calling ahead may result in our having to turn the member away during the summer months. Reservations are a necessity from now until Labor Day especially. If you arrive and see empty tables, it does not mean they are available, as more than likely they are reserved for parties whose reservation times have not yet arrived.

A few friendly reminders: To ensure the best possible experience for Shoals Club members, please remember membership cards are required for all members anytime you are on Club property. The staff has been instructed to send members without cards to the main office to obtain a temporary card. This policy is part of the membership agreement and necessary to protecting the value of Shoals Club membership by ensuring that those using the Club are authorized to do so. Also, please remember that your unaccompanied guests require a temporary membership and those arrangements need to be made by contacting the Shoals Club office at 910-454-4888 at least 5 days in advance. A temporary membership registration form can be found here. Membership cards are not transferable and members are not allowed to give their cards to others to gain access to the Club. Unfortunately, we still have members who attempt to bypass the temporary membership process, which causes inconvenience and delayed access to the Club for their guests.

Please keep in mind, Annual Membership Passes are available to parents of members and children of members who are over the age of 23. Members who would like to make arrangements for Annual Membership Passes can contact the Administrative Office to obtain a registration form. The cost for the Annual Membership Pass is $150 for an individual or $250 for a family. Full member discounts and separate account charging privileges do not apply to Annual Membership Passes.

Many of the enhancements at the Shoals Club and additional benefits to our full members are the direct result of member feedback. We always welcome member suggestions. If you have comments, questions or concerns related to the overall Club experience or policies, please address those directly with me in person by stopping by the Shoals Club office, or by calling 910-454-4888, or by emailing me at fwalls@bhisland.com. Our managers and staff are working diligently to provide the best Shoals Club experience possible and are happy to address issues specifically related to their area of responsibility; however, global suggestions or concerns should be directed to my attention for more efficient and effective resolution.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to provide an outstanding experience for all members, their guests and temporary members. Be sure to check www.ShoalsClub.com and our Facebook page regularly for updates, hours of operation and menus, so you can plan your next visit to the Shoals Club. We look forward to a great season!
