Dear Shoals Club Member:

As a Shoals Club member, you likely appreciate the many ways club access enriches your time on Bald Head Island. With four distinct dining venues, two pools, locker rooms, direct beach access and year-round event programming, the Shoals Club offers an incomparable value to you and your guests. For the first time in 12 years, the Shoals Club is raising the price of a new membership from $12,000 to $15,000, beginning on May 1, 2018.

New property purchasers who are closing May 1-May 10 can lock into the current Shoals Club membership purchase price of $12,000 if they have their application and payment submitted to Membership & Communications Coordinator Lauren Regan in the Shoals Club Office no later than April 30, 2018. The new membership price for properties closing on or after May 11, 2018 will be $15,000.

If you have friends or family who've been considering the purchase of a Shoals Club membership, please encourage them to act prior to the membership price increase in May.

We continue to raise the bar at the Shoals Club to provide the best possible experience for you and your guests. Membership Cards Ready


Greetings from the Shoals Club!


The Shoals Club is officially open for the 2018 season, and we look forward to welcoming back members over the upcoming Easter holiday.

If you've already sent in your membership update form and photo, your new membership card is now ready to be picked up from the Shoals Club office. You must bring in your old membership card to swap out for your new card. Shoals Club office hours for the remainder of March are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Beginning April 1, our office will be open daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

After April 30, we will no longer be accepting old versions of membership cards at the Shoals Club. If you haven’t sent in your photos and update forms, please email them as soon as possible to shoalstemp@bhisland.com so we can create your new card (download PDF). Facial photos must be a front view (no selfies, sunglasses or headwear, please). JPG format is preferred.

Please be on the lookout for the Shoals Club Annual Dues letter, which is mailing this week. The letter gives options and instructions for paying your annual dues, and also provides an in-depth overview of exciting improvements at the Shoals Club.

New dining venue

Dear Shoals Club Member,

Here at the Shoals Club, we're busy preparing for an outstanding 2018 season for members and their guests. The Shoals Club will open for the season on March 8. In the meantime, we wanted to share our excitement about a new dining venue we'll be unveiling in the spring-The Verandas at Shoals Club. See a "teaser" below describing the restaurant's offerings, and stay tune for more details to follow in the coming weeks.

Member info updates & Photo ID's



Dear Shoals Club Member,

Thank you for the fabulous year we had at the Shoals Club. We pride ourselves on helping you have a spectacular time at the beach, pool and dining venues. This email serves three purposes:
  • To have you update your membership information (see link to form below);
  • To accumulate photos to be put on new membership cards; and
  • To gather information on your interests in Shoals Club activities.

To maintain an accurate database, we need your help. We have found that your member information may be lacking or out of date. This information is often needed to get in touch with you for lost credit cards, driver’s licenses, jewelry or sunglasses. It is hard to return items if we cannot reach the owner. There are a number of other reasons we need updated information from you, including for billing and for verifying access for your children and other immediate family that are attached to your membership as Annual Members. With that said, please complete the Member Information Update form found online here and send it back as soon as possible, but no later than January 31, 2018, to shoalstemp@bhisland.com.


In the future, we want to improve security to ensure your membership is protected, preventing nonmembers from slipping through the cracks with invalid, outdated or borrowed cards. We will strive to have pictures on all our members’ cards by the time the summer season starts. The new cards will be waiting for you at the Shoals Club office. Please email us a digital file with a close up facial picture (preferably a .JPG format). These pictures can come from your phone camera directly to our email at shoalstemp@bhisland.com, or you can email us any digital photo from your computer. Face position must be front view (no selfies, sunglasses or headwear please).

We strive to make the Shoals Club the most desirable place to spend time on Bald Head Island. In order to accomplish that goal we would like feedback on what activities make your experience here enjoyable. On the bottom of the Member Information Update form, please check the activities that interest you.
